TOP 100 Award: Ranga Yogeshwar honours sera for innovation achievements

Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates sera GmbH from Immenhausen on being awarded the TOP 100 seal. The sera Group is thus once again one of the top 100 innovators in Germany. It impressed the jury of the innovation competition in all five categories.

sera statement on the pending ban of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs)

A comprehensive PFASs ban is planned in the European Union. PFASs are per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances which accumulate in the environment due to their persistence. The aim of the ban from the perspective of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is to drastically reduce the release of PFASs into the environment.

Renewal of the iron-III chloride dosing systems of the Delémont wastewater treatment plant (SEDE)

The wastewater treatment plant of the city of Delémont, SEDE-Syndicat pour l'assainissement des eaux Delémont et environs, with a total of 16 connected communes, is one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in the canton of Jura. The wastewater of the 16 municipalities is treated at SEDE Delémont and reprocessed for use.

Hop oil dosing is a tasty proposition with sera dosing systems

In some countries, hops are added to beer in the form of hop oil to give it a bitter note. For a customer in England, the colleagues at sera Technology UK Ltd. constructed not only a dosing system for this purpose, but a complete turnkey solution.

sera Group awards environmental prize as part of the business plan competition promotion Nordhessen

The nationwide business plan competition promotion Nordhessen provides valuable support through sustainable promotion of new business start-ups by means of business plan consulting, active network management and the transfer of founder know-how. On Friday, 26 March 2021, the winners of the 21st round of the business plan competition were selected. Due to the current Corona situation, the event was streamed live from the Neue Denkerei in Kassel. Under the motto "Every good idea fits on a beer mat", 40 business plans were submitted, eleven of which finally reached the jury round and had the chance to win an award.

Immenhausen. Award-winning innovative strength: The sera Group from Immenhausen has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2021. Particularly innovative medium-sized companies are honoured with this award - and this is now already the 28th time. Previously, the sera Group had proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process.

Morocco is one of the countries that are water-scarce and severely affected by climate change. A programme launched by the Moroccan government and supported by the EU therefore provides for the expansion and new construction of seawater desalination plants to produce drinking water and water for agricultural irrigation by 2030. Technology from sera plays an important role in the world's most modern seawater desalination plant in Agadir.

BrauBeviale offers digital dialogue platform as an alternative to the cancelled industry meeting in Nuremberg. The platform will be accessible for 365 days and will start with the Launch Days from 10 - 12 November. They will host the BrauBeviale programme digitally as a so-called action programme. Three days of exciting presentations on all areas of the beverage industry! Furthermore, you will find online all relevant suppliers, products and solutions in the process chain of beverage production - including us, of course!

No other business competition in Germany has achieved such a sustained response as the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes", which has been awarded by the Leipzig Oskar Patzelt Foundation since 1994. Alongside promoting networks within the SME sector, the competition's objectives are above all public recognition and confirmation of the achievements of the nominated companies; the prize is not endowed. In this competition year 4970 medium-sized companies were nominated throughout Germany, 553 of which made it onto the jury list.

sera Group announces short-time work

Short-time work at the sera Group - processing of inquiries and projects is ensured In response to the Corona pandemic, the sera Group temporarily reduces production at the Immenhausen, Passau and Suben (Austria) sites and applies for short-time working. At the same time, sera is doing everything to maintain service and spare parts supply for its customers and to ensure the processing of current or new projects at 100%.

100% commitment on the future of hydrogen technology

sera ComPress GmbH operates under the name sera Hydrogen GmbH since March 31st, 2020. This underlines the sera Group’s commitment to the future market of hydrogen technology. There will also be an expansion in the management of the renamed company. Frank Kühneweg will be another managing director of sera Hydrogen GmbH alongside Carsten Rahier and Stephan Hillebrand. The product portfolio will remain in its entirety. All industries and processes outside the hydrogen technology will be supported as usual. "In order to meet the dynamics and the requirements of this future market, we have decided to send a signal to the outside world that underlines our goals. Therefore we have renamed the former sera ComPress GmbH to sera Hydrogen GmbH. 100% commitment to H2" explains Stephan Hillebrand, managing director of sera Hydrogen GmbH.

COVID-19 / Preventive measures of the sera Group

The sera Group with its locations in Immenhausen near Kassel, in Passau and branch offices in Austria, Switzerland, Spain, England and South Africa has taken precautionary and until further notice measures in view of the dynamic development of the corona pandemic.

The sewage treatment plant in Prague - a state-of-the-art project in an exceptional environment

In addition to a wide range of state-of-the-art dosing systems and technology, sera primarily offers the expertise to help municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants to achieve their goals. Even if the water treatment processes are always the same regardless of the size of the plant, the construction of the new sewage treatment plant in Prague on river Vltava island Císařský was a particular challenge for sera and its partners.

On 1 March 2019 the sera Group will expand its branch network with the addition of an office in Switzerland. This means that, in addition to its headquarters in Immenhausen and branches in the UK, Spain, South Africa, Austria and Southern Germany, the globally active supplier of dosing and compressor technology will also have a presence in Switzerland in the future.

Approximately 50 million tons of caustic soda are produced annually and used in various ways in in-dustry. sera has developed a cost-effective system solution specifically for use in the food industry, which has a variable but large demand for alkaline cleaning agents such as caustic soda. This enables safe and efficient preparation of caustic soda based on sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in solid form and water.
