sera Group receives TOP 100 seal

Immenhausen. Award-winning innovative strength: The sera Group from Immenhausen has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2021. Particularly innovative medium-sized companies are honoured with this award - and this is now already the 28th time. Previously, the sera Group had proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process.

On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the TOP 100 innovation competition, the innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative strength of the sera Group. The researchers used around 120 test criteria from five categories as a basis: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. The core question is whether innovations are the result of a planned approach or a product of chance, i.e. the repeatability of innovation performance. And it is about whether and how the corresponding solutions succeed on the market (more information on the test criteria at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien). Due to the current situation, there was also a special section in this round in which the entrepreneurial reaction to the Corona crisis was examined.

The sera Group is an environmental technology company that has recently made a name for itself in the field of hydrogen technology. In addition, it has also been a reliable and competent partner in the field of dosing and compressor technology for decades.

This award as Top Innovator shows that the recognised jury of experts considers the sera Group to be one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. "This is a special appreciation of our work and confirmation that we have set the right course for the future with our strong values and a clear strategy", says the managing partner of the sera Group, Carsten Rahier, delightedly "This is an award for all serans. Each of them has contributed his or her part to the sera Group being where it is today - and where it belongs." "TOP 100 is an award that proves that we have done many things right. The expansion of our activities in the company in general and in the hydrogen sector in particular, but especially the innovative developments around the topic were a bet on the future - which we won. We will continue to work on this," adds Stefan Merwar, authorised signatory of the sera Group and Head of Marketing and Communication.

Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, the scientific director of TOP 100, is impressed by the award-winning medium-sized companies. "The TOP 100 companies have consistently oriented themselves towards being as innovative as possible," he states.

On 26 November there will be another reason to celebrate: then all the award winners of the current TOP 100 year will come together to receive congratulations from Ranga Yogeshwar at the 7th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. The science journalist has accompanied the innovation competition as a mentor for ten years.

With the "TOP 100 2021" seal, the sera Group is continuing its success story.

Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success to medium-sized companies. Since 2002, the scientific management has been in the hands of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. With 25 research awards and over 200 publications, he is one of the leading innovation researchers internationally. The mentor of TOP 100 is the science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.
